You Know it's a Twilight Movie Release Week When...

  • Your house becomes very untidy;
  • Your fridge is practically empty;
  • The laundry pile(s) now bare a striking resemblance to the Closet Monster;
  • You forget to bring your ENTIRE purse to work one day;
  • Your cellphone is dead most of the week because you forgot to charge it and/or your ringer has been on silent since Nov 17th;
  • You're having your worst hair week ever and showers are no longer daily events;
  • You pretend Christmas is not coming because you don't have time to be distracted by such things;
  • You forget to put snow tires on your car (what 2 feet of snow? shitttt!!);
  • Your Christmas list consists of movie guides, soundtracks and other Twilight merch;
  • Your days go something like this: get up, feed family, get to work, get home from work, feed family, go to movie, read a few chapters of BD, sleep, repeat.
Funny, most of these also seem to be traits of a person who's recently become a drug addict. Oh god....is this Saga a brand of heroin? Yes, I think so. Sigh.

Breaking Dawn Part 1 Review (contains spoilers)

Well, I've just had the most epic 24 hours. I've just seen Breaking Dawn 3 times. And slept for 4 hours total, and, well had breakfast at 4pm today because frankly, seeing the morning showing was beyond worth taking a vacation day for let alone eating. It's been that kinda day/night. And it was indescribable. Up until 6:44pm yesterday, Eclipse was my favourite movie, but Breaking Dawn Part 1 is award worthy. Award worthy. Kristen Stewart deserves a golden globe at the very least. I don't know who was on the visual effects team but pregnancy with a hybrid human/vampire did not agree with Bella and it showed, just as it should have. She looked exactly as she should, like she was dying, like the baby was using every ounce of Bella's body to get the nutrition it needed, every last bit of plasma, fraction of bone marrow, everything. And I felt it. I couldn't eat during any of the movies, the 1st time because I was too excited, the others because I knew what was coming and it just felt wrong to eat seeing Bella as she was. It takes you in that much.

And the dress, oh god the wedding dress was stunning, and just perfect. The clothes were straight out of the books, every detail seemed to be exactly what the fans have been asking for all along - pay attention to the books (except, well, you know, with the long khaki skirts and stuff. Thank you Bill Condon for allowing artistic liberties there). And Steph at the wedding, it just felt right. Alice's over-decoration was so Alice. The flowers were beyond, the cake incredible (Jess's reaction was the best!). The twinkle lights were there, just as described in the book, off in the background, not begging to be noticed but there all the same. The chess set from the book cover was so good, so good.

And Edward. Oh Edward, how perfect were you? Despite Rob aging 4 years over the filming of the Saga, they managed to re-create the look of Twilight Edward but with the proper clothes and mannerisms of a married man. Bit of a hair cut mind you, but still, there was such amazing continuity, and not just with Edward but with everything. The throw back to the other movies just absolutely made the film. Here is a director who knows his audience. It was an emotional roller coaster, for the characters and for the audience. We laughed, we cried (a lot), we cringed, we almost vomited. And loved it. And the best moments? Edward was happy. He laughed. More than once. And it was beautiful, to see such a tortured soul, happy. A close second is a drunken Renee at the wedding. All the speeches were great. Such a nice touch, right down to the "Yeah baby, you're gonna get some!" look Jasper gives Edward as they drive off. And the birth. I've never been so close to falling off the edge of my seat at a movie, despite knowing she lives, I forgot that, in that moment, it took me in so much.

So what did you think? What were your favorite moments? Your most appreciated? See some funny out-of-place stuff? I had a hard time with this one - no Marcus' slippers moments. Even Edward's shoes were great. Maybe during round 5 or 6 I'll start to see those things, but for now, it's just memories of pure,well, magic.

10 days and the promo is insane!

So it's 10 days until Breaking Dawn Part 1 is out, and I can't concentrate on anything else. God help me at work, that's just a total write off until the end of November, at least. And then there's Christmas craziness, so yeah, I'm pretty much done the heavy until the end of the year. I'm sure my boss will understand when I say "Uh, I'm a little behind, Breaking Dawn came out you know, you totes understand though right?". Yeah, he'll understand all right, all the way to HR with a posting for my job. Anywho, all is well in the world. There is so much promo I can't even begin to post it all. Here's a smackeral of awesomely awesome websites that are on top of it. Be warned, there is so much ooey gooey goodness it's practically dripping off the computer screen.

Awesome Breaking Dawn Con pics from Twitarded:

Edward vs RPattz Wednesday!

Today’s post is inspired by recent pics brought to my attention by my Twilovah Smitten. Seems our boy Pattzy is exploring Europe these days, and lookin’ mighty fine while doing it! Still, he’s got some tough competition as his alter-ego. Let’s do a comparison shall we?
Smiley Edward
vs
Smiley RPattz travelling abroad for #breakingdawn promo and such

And then of course, there’s a little from column A and a little from column B:

I have to say this one goes to Edward. So pretty. Though I’m lovin the suit, Pattzy, I must say.

So it’s been a very busy two weeks. Contests and tv spots and promo pics up the yin-yang (do people even say that anymore?). Only 15 days. Frig that’s nuts. Just yesterday it was like “Only 18 months to go…”. Here’s what we’ve learned recently (and I doubt I’ve captured it all, so much has been going on in the twilight universe):
  • We almost had an “R” rating, according to KStew. Almost. Still gonna be juicy though, much more than a "fade to black", that’s for sure.
  • The soundtrack is awesome, and the close-by-return to the sounds of the original Twilight movie are beyond awesome. I can’t wait to hear the score. Anyone know when that is going to be released? Oh, and the piano sheet music? Edward may or may not have inspired me to pick up playing piano again after a 10 year hiatus, or something like that. It's been a while.
  • Bella’s lullaby. It’s in there. Summit was listening, oh yes.
  • The Twi-fecta will be at premieres overseas on the 18th (so no chance of them showing up in craptastic Eastern Canada. Really? Wow, I’m shocked.).
K, time for one more Edward vs RPattz, sweet ride edition!
Edward and his supasexymobile (well insofar as Volvos can be considered sexy):

RPattz and his sweet, sweet ride:

Ok, I know that’s from Remember Me, but meh, I cheat.

 And the winner is Edward! Weeeoooo!!

Random ramblings of a 30-something Twilovah

So, there are 23 days left until the Big Show. Well, 22 if you live in this part of the world (the Eastern seaboard of North America) and are blessed with time zone influence. The shows start here at 10pm on the 17th. I wonder if Summit knows this? I'm sure they do, there'd be some sort of lawsuit or something I guess. Anywho, I've been trying to decide how best to spend these 22 days. I tried reading Breaking Dawn again. I got a few pages in, started skipping chapters to the wedding, then started seeing all kinds of differences between the trailers/stills/spoilers from way back when and the book, and started getting dissapointed.

I told my twilovies that I would not do this. I know that the differences in details bug me. I'm one of those. When I realized that Bella had two clips in her hair in the book (which I forgot about), and that Rosalie's dress is silver, not purple, I started getting all pissy and put the book down. Now I don't know what to do with myself. I spent the summer reading the entire Harry Potter series for the first time to deal with the drought (wasn't that bad, was good, actually, but that's not for here). I downloaded and watched all the seasons of Mad Men (awesomesauce, BTW), Big Bang Theory (also super funny, especially if you are, and are married to, a scientist), and well, now I'm out. I need suggestions. I'm on the brink of creating KStew vs KStew (cause Bella is kinda plain) or something like that, but I've been warned that the KStew lovers (of which I am one, but apparently not on any sort of classifiable level) are insanely protective. I think she's great, just like Rob, but I poke fun because I love.

So I guess I'll pass the time posting pics of Edward. Cause like I once said to my twilovies, it wouldn't matter if New Moon, Eclipse, etc, consisted of 2 hours of pictures of Edward, we'd still go 10 times and think it was Oscar worthy. That would be pretty sweet, actually...So yeah, here's some eye candy, for you and for me. Here's to a fast and happy 22 days! Now, let's see what the old google images has for us today...
Aw yeah, there he is, the original Hotward. Dont' mind the filming equipment, doesn't change a thing.

Aw, sad panda Edward. So beautiful. Anyone else POed that it seemed like he was going to propose here and didn't?

Hahahaha! Ridiculous promo Edward! This is so lame. Pretty, but lame. What? I so did NOT go out and buy my husband a replica of this jacket at Old Navy. Did not!

WTF?! Who the hell is this guy. Why is he littering my browser when I googled ''Edward Cullen"? Oh, wait, it's some dude who auditioned for the part. Sorry, you're cute, but you're no RPattz.

Okay, let's get back to it...

Hells yeah, tent scene Edward. I'm likin' google images a lot more now.

And with that greatness, we'll call it a day. Which reminds me, I need to add some sort of disclaimer to the site stating that I have borrowed each and every one of these photos and claim no copyright whatsoever. Onwards...

Latest TV Spot!

Sigh...only 28 days!

My date with Edward Cullen

I've  never had so much fun, or acted so drunk without actually  drinking, than I do with my ladies when we're on a Twilight binge. These tend to happen on movie premiere or DVD release days.  Everyone should post their crazy for the world to see online.

Now don't be too jealous, but I went to the New Moon midnight DVD release party with Edward Cullen. For reals, Edward was there, with me. Actually, there were three of him, and three of us. It's important to share the love.

 Nothing like a little midnight movie madness with a barbie doll to show the world how mature Twilight fans really are.  At one point the dude behind us (who had obviosuly been dragged there by his girlfriend beside him) yelled at us "Fucking Cougars!". Asshole.

Edward was very exctied about the New Moon DVD release party!
Edward chose great seats. Aw, look, he's trying to hold my hand!

"Yeah, uh, she's buying my ticket". Edward is not happy that he's not in much of this movie.
He kept trying to block the screen.

Edward playing in the advertising. He wants to know what happened to the hot peacoat.

And that was my date with Edward Cullen. No pepper spray required.

Edward Versus RPattz Wednesdays!

Since I've got a pretty good collection of Edward vs RPattz waiting to be posted (thx to Smitten for keeping them all this time!!) I've decided to do "Edward vs RPattz" Wednesdays. Some eye candy and some competition to break up the week. I'll post other stuff in between, but, you know, something to look forward to (kinda like newborn vampire madness according to our boy Emmett) for humpday and such. So, today's Edward vs RPattz competition is ON!

Round1:                                                 RPattz likin' da rain...

                                                              vs Edward likin' da rain

Okay, so there's no competition here. At all.

Round 2:

Edward under attack

vs Rob under attack

Rob wins this round, hands down!

Oh, oh, we have a last minute contender for "rain vs"...

Jacob likin' da rain!

 Okay, Jake gets a consolation prize for best abs, but Edward still wins overall. Edward in the rain at the Sound was one of the best scenes in Twilight, no?

Tee hee. Til next time!

People Magazine Breaking Dawn Collector's Edition! Woot!

It's here. You've probably had it for a few days if you live somewhere better than I do (you do, trust me). But I did manage to snag a copy on coffee break yesterday, which really helped make the work day go faster. I'm too lazy to scan the pics and post them, so here's a link to the mag. Bloody Edward...that's all I'm gonna say to get you motivated to buy the thing.

Sneak peak here: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20536765,00.html

The inaugural Edward vs RPattz!

So, it's blog posting day #2. I'm not sure if today is going to be as good as yesterday because I just discovered peanut butter on the sleeve of my blazer and I have to hob-nob with the industry types at a seminar today and need to look semi-presentable. Oh well. I have a toddler, shite happens. Anywho, speaking of hobnobs, I wonder where all the pics of our boy RPattz are lately? I want to know if his hair has grown out yet. Well, half of his hair, because if both halves are growing, he's still going to have a side-mullet and that's just not cool. I'm sorry, you can pretend to love his hair no matter what, just because he's Rob, but let's look at the evidence, shall we?

Rob on a good hair day (i.e. every day of his life previous to summer 2011):

Yep, that's some good hair day hair, oh my...

...and, the half-mullet in all its "the robsessed are in denial if they actually like this" glory:

Yessireebob, that's some half-shaved head, that is.
That must have grown out by now right? Okay, wait, I'm not sure how this post turned into a discussion of Rob's hair, it was meant to be the first ever online version of Edward vs RPattz!

This is a little game my RL ladies, Smitten (check her out at theinappropriatecrush.blogspot.com!!) and TeamLutz, and I play because, while we're all Team Edward (is that even a thing anymore, or did Edward verus Jacob die with the Eclipse promos?), I'll just put it out there that Edward would win the beauty contests if it were between him and Rob. Almost always. I mean, Rob seems great and all, but let's face it, if he would wear pale make-up and Edward clothes (minus the old man shoes) all the time, he'd be doing the world a big favour. I'm not Rob-bashing, hells no, that would be blasphemy and we all know it, I'm just sayin', Edward's hot (irrevocably) and Pattzy, well, as handome as he is, he needs an Alice in his corner once in a while. Like, say, whenever anyone takes a photo of him in an airport, or walking down the street, or shopping for underoos with TomStu...um, yeah...So, this game really came from my constant debate with my besties, over who's hotter, Edward or Rob. I'm it for the Edward eye candy, myself, my twilight obsession never elevated to the Robsessed level. I know, I know, they are the same "person" but I like to think of them as two seperate entities. And, I prefer the American accent. Whenever there's an interview and it's behind the scenes stuff and he's in full make-up, and I hear brit-speak coming out of Edward I get really confused.

So, without further ado, I give you Edward versus RPattz, Round 1! Feel free to vote in the comments <hears crickets chirping>...okay, well, one day if I get blog followers maybe people will post comments.

RPattz with da Ray Bans on

versus Edward with da Ray Bans on

This is a tough one, but imma have to go with Edward.

Round 2: RPattz LOLing

vs Edward LOLing

 Must be the pollen. Epipen, stat!

Pattzy, you've won this round.

Round 3: Piano man.

Edward
Top ten favorite scene? Yessum.

vs  RPattz
I don't care how the piano got there, really, I don't. Whoa.

'Scuse me while I pick myself up off the floor. I can't choose. Can you?

And that's how it's done.

Twilight Convention info

Okay, so I'm not going this year. Because I live in the ars end of nowhere in Canada where nothing remotely exciting ever happens. Ever. Well, my friend thought she saw our boy Pattzy walking downtown one day, but it turned out to be some other guy dressed like a bum who wasn't really a bum but a hot millionaire (cause that's the look he's going for, right?). Maybe next year I'll get to go, that's the plan anyway...you know, for the last one, the big one, the greatest one...well, if there even is one. But I digress...here's the info for this year (if you're lucky enough to go, in which case I don't hate you, I envy you...yeah, that's it).
twilightconvention.com

For those of us stuck in the ars end of nowhere Canada, there's this...

Edward and Bella are quite moved by the " FML I'm stuck-in-the-middle-of-nowhere phenomenon".

Today was a good day...

Today was a good day. Mr.UnequivocallyTwilight said "You'll owe me big time." when I said "How would you feel if I went to the 2012 Twilight convention in LA". He did not say no. He didn't even hesitate. For some reason that gave me a reason to get off my lazy ass and finally start writing a twilight blog that's been 2 years in the making...if you consider wasting time at work emailing my other twilight obsessed co-workers/besties all things twilight "in the making". I guess if I'm actually going to go to the thing, if they even plan one that is, I better feel like I deserve it. And, well, I can't be a lurker for much longer. There's just too much funniez to be had keeping it all between me and my friends...we're just that funny. Really. You'll see. Either that or this blog will be collecting dust in two weeks.
I googled "bad dusty blog" and this came up...um, yeah...

So, here I am, way late to the game but finally up and running. Who am I? Just another proud Twilight nutbag. And I'm not 17. Well, I haven't been, for a while. Over a decade and then some. I'm Canadian, but that's about all I'll put out there for now. Being Canadian is relevant because (a) it means I can bitch about having to pay three times the price to get a full sized Edward shipped to my house and (b) so much of the movies were filmed in Vancouver, which, while in my country, is still thousands of kilometers (see that, I went all metric system on your ass) from my house, but I digress. Represent, yo!

 New Moon being filmed in Vancouver. You can tell which film  by Yorkie's fantastic bangs. I don't remember Jacob wearing that sexy jacket. Oh yeah, I was a little distracted by Strutward at the time.

So this is yet another Twilight blog. With a smackeral of Edward and dash of Robsten love (yeah, I'm one of those), and something new to the internet scene...Edward versus RPattz (you'll see what I mean, stick around, let me know if my ladies and I are on to something). Happily influenced by my friends,  & the good peeps who write other twilight blogs, most of whom I've never met. I promise though, I've lurked everyday since November 2009, getting my Twilight fix and laughing my ass off (special shout out to TWITARDED)  So, uh, yeah, happy reading!
